Dangerous goods by air - revalidation training certificates - temporary exemption due to the coronavirus

On 31 March 2020,  in recognition of the problems facing industry during the current Covid-19 epidemic, the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued a temporary exemption from the 2 year deadline for recurrent dangerous goods training.

It provides for CAA approved recurrent training and testing to be delayed until the end of November 2020 (or earlier if the exemption is revoked before this date).

On 15 April 2020 the CAA  replaced the original exemption with a revised version which clarified conditions relating to its application. A copy is attached here for your information.

During the period of the exemption employers must continue to ensure personnel are aware of their safety obligations and remain competent to perform their duties.

ADR driver and DGSA training certificates - temporary extensions due to the coronavirus

The UK Department for Transport has issued details of Multilateral Agreement M324. This provides a temporary extension until 30 November 2020 for current ADR driver training and DGSA 'Road' certificates due to expire between 1 March and 1 November 2020. A copy of M324 is available here.
