The provisions of the ADR Agreement apply to the international carriage of dangerous goods by road from/to/through the territories of at least two contracting countries. There are currently over 50 signatory States.
Under European Union (EU) legislation, all EU Member States are required to apply ADR to national road carriage operations, subject to certain domestic derogations.
UK national transport regulations also require compliance with ADR, again subject to certain UK domestic derogations.
